WW2 fighting knife made from German WW1 era Nahkampfmesser (close combat knife), original metal scabbard included. Interesting one-of-a-kind type in excellent overall condition, considering the age. FREE USPS PRIORITY MAIL SHIPPING WITHIN THE U.S. FOR THIS ITEM.
Original WW2 era American fighting knife made from the WW1 era Imperial Germany Nahkampfmesser (close combat knife) with a re-worked original metal scabbard included. Original wood handle has been “re-dressed” with a diamond-shaped steel guard, aluminum and Bakelite washers, finished with a sturdy solid aluminum pommel. This fighter is about 11-1/4” / 28.5 cm overall; the blade is about 6-5/8″ / 17 cm. The blade has been polished; it is razor sharp; the tip is intact; all parts are tight with no play. Original WW1 era metal composition with a replacement leather belt hanger. The snaps on the keeper are the US-issue vintage UNITED CARR brand. The scabbard is in great shape, considering the age; it holds the blade nice and tight.
This interesting and certainly one-of-a-kind WW1 era German fighter – turned American WW2 fighting knife will make a great addition to any collection. This original WW2 fighting knife has not been cleaned, it is in 100% original “as purchased” condition; these are the actual photos. Mauser clips are not included with the knife 😉
