Excellent quality original US-made Chestnut Trail Guide A-2 tool steel blade hunter-skinner knife made in the 1990s by Blackjack Knives in Effingham, IL, USA. This scarce model is unused, still in the original correctly-labeled retail box with Blackjack card and light-brown leather sheath. This is Chestnut Trail Guide model of Blackjack’s Classic Blades lineup; this knife is of the highest quality. Blackjack had always made extremely well-made knives from the best materials available. But their labor intensive production also made it hard to compete with cheap mass-produced Chinese junk. This was one of the main reasons why Blackjack went bankrupt. This small hunting /survival style knife balances perfectly in the hand and will take hard rugged use in any situation. The hand convex ground blade is made from solid A2 tool steel and triple tempered to 58 Rockwell C hardness. The knife is equipped with a thick bronze alloy guard.

The handle is solid, all parts are tight. Original brown leather sheath is also unused; the leather is soft and supple. This well-made Blackjack Chestnut Trail Guide in hard-to-find unused condition will be a welcome addition to any collection.
This scarce Blackjack model 4 boot knife has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way, it’s in 100% original “as is” condition; these are the actual photos.
