A cool-looking WW2 era letter opener made from a a polished buffalo horn piece. This interesting “trench art” letter opener is in very good overall condition; a few minor edge nicks on the blade are noted for accuracy. This letter opener is about 7-3/4” / 19.7 cm overall; the blade is about 4-1/2″ / 11.5 cm.
This WW2 1945 Philippines letter opener was part of the diverse collection of militaria items that I’ve recently purchased spanning from WW1 to the War in Vietnam.
