Description
Scarce vintage long-discontinued Gerber Legendary Blades Presentation Knife model 450S Hunter-Skinner in rare unused condition, still in the original retail box. The knife comes with the original Gerber leather sheath, also unused. This scarce vintage Gerber Hunter was hand-finished at the Gerber factory in Portland, Oregon, USA in the 1970th.
The knife is unused; factory-original edge is razor-sharp; the tip is intact. The blade is mirror-polished 440C stainless hardened to respectable Rc 57. Deeply sculptured finger-grooved handle is exotic South African Zebrawood with brass spacers and polished silver-nickel handguard & pommel; all parts are tight with no play. The knife is about 9-1/8″ / 23.2 cm overall; the blade is about 4-1/2″ / 11.5 cm long. Original model 425 leather sheath is in excellent condition; the leather is soft and supple still. Original retail box is in good condition, considering the age. These early Gerber sheaths are actually more scarce than the knives themselves; don’t miss your chance to add this rare vintage Gerber 450S Hunter-Skinner knife to your collection!
