WW2 US Signal Corps Lineman tool set, early wood handles Utica Cutlery TL-29 knife, TL-13A pliers, original SC-34 leather pouch. Scarce “private purchase” type in great condition, considering the age.

Original and complete WW2 era US Signal Corps Lineman’s Tool Set. The set includes US Army TL-29 electrician’s knife manufactured by Utica Cutlery, one pair of TL-13A pliers also made by Utica, and one quality made SC-34 leather carrier for the tools. Nice complete set with all the “as issued” tools. These handy sets were very popular with the troops and these were carried and used by all military branches, not just the Signal Corps. Attached are couple of photos of American GIs carrying Lineman’s Tool sets in combat (original photos are not included with the knife). The set has obviously been used in the field as intended, but it’s still in 100% serviceable condition overall.

Leather carrier is about 8-1/2″ / 21.5 cm overall with the flap closed. The pouch is in great shape – the leather is soft and supple, all rivets and stitching are intact. Electrician’s TL-29 knife is an early-war type with wood handle scales and nickel-silver bolsters (these were quickly replaced with cheap Bakelite handles as the war progressed). The knife is well-used but in good condition overall. Original TL-13A pliers have a bit of pitting but nothing major; all parts are tight. Overall, this tool set is in very good condition; it is 100% serviceable still. With proper care it will last you another 80 years 😉

This original WW2 US Signal Corps Lineman tool set has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way, it’s in 100% original “as is” condition. These are the actual photos; spent brass is not included with the lot 😉 I have a few more American, German, British, Italian, and French fighting knives, as well as some scarce WW2 and WW1 daggers, trench knives and bayonets available for sale – please take a look in the Militaria section.
