Original WW2 era American “private purchase” 6-inch blade fighting knife manufactured during the war by Pal Blade Company. Before and during the war Pal had operated two factories manufacturing various cutlery and later bayonets and fighting knives for the military: one in Plattsburgh, NY, and another one in Holyoke, MA. PAL always made a quality product and their knives were popular with the troops; thousands were used as intended in virtually every WW2 theater.
This fighting knife is about 10-3/41” / 27.38 cm overall; the blade is about 6″ / 15.3 cm. The blade is razor sharp still; the tip is intact. An attractive “theater-dressed” handle with stacked aircraft clear Plexiglas and red fiber/Bakelite washers and a solid aluminum pommel; all parts are tight with no play. Original PAL scabbard is in great shape as well, considering the age; the leather is soft and supple still. All original rivets and stitching are intact; the keeper is nice and tight.
This interesting and certainly one-of-a-kind WW2 Pal fighting knife will make a great addition to any collection. This original WW2 Pal fighting knife has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way, it is in 100% original “as purchased” condition; these are the actual photos. Garand clips are not included with the knife 😉
