Original British military issue jack/clasp knife manufactured in 1968 in slightly used condition. This all-metal pattern was made entirely of stainless steel ; it was issued as the “Army Knife” during the Vietnam War and this type is still in use today. This exact type is illustrated on page 146 of the excellent reference book BRITISH AND COMMONWEALTH MILITARY KNIVES by Ron Flook (see the book’s pages scans attached).
The knife is about 4″ / 10.2 cm overall closed; the main blade is about 2-1/2″ / 6.5 cm long; it is very sharp still; the tip is intact. The built-in integral flat-head screwdriver is in great shape with no damage. The knife is solid; all parts are tight with no play; one side is proof-marked with the “broad arrow” acceptance stamp and date-stamped 1968. Black nylon paracord lanyard is still attached. A few cosmetic scratched from handling and light use are noted for accuracy.
