Korean War AFH M1 bayonet, 10-inch blade, NOT a cut-down. Post-WW2 Greek-made M7 composition scabbard. Very good overall condition, considering the age.
Original Korean War / WW2 era M1 10″ blade bayonet for US M1 Garand Manufactured by American Fork & Hoe – marked A.F.H. / U.S. “flaming bomb” on ricasso. This is NOT a cut-down of the older, “long” 16″ blade M1905 bayonet. This M7 composition scabbard was manufactured in Greece in the late 1940th – early 1950th after WW2 under the US post-WW2 Military Assistance Program. Greece took part in the Korean War sending to battle The Greek Expeditionary Force (GEF) numbering approximately 5,000 troops. This M1 is in good condition for the type with just a few minor contact marks on the pommel. Bayonet release mechanism is tight and 100% functional. The bayonet is about 14″ / 35.5 cm overall; the blade is about 9-1/2″ / 24 cm. M7 composition scabbard is in great shape; no cracks or chips on the plastic, original paint; this M7 is in excellent overall condition. Overall, this WW2 era / Korean War AFH M1 bayonet is in 100% functional condition still; it is not cleaned or tampered with in any way, it is in 100% original “as is” condition. These are the actual photos; spent brass is not included with the bayonet 😉
