Rare early WW1 era German commemorative by the famous German engraver Friedrich Wilhelm Eue; struck in Berlin. The medal struck in 1915; (Zetzmann# 2092). An attractive specimen with original light-gray with golden overtones patina. Two darker spots on obverse seem to be oxidation marks; the medal was never mounted; there are no traces or clasps or mounts. The medal is about 34 mm in diameter; 18.4 grams; the rim is marked SILBER 990. A scarce early WW1 commemorative medal in great overall condition – a great find!
