German States Bavaria 1855 silver 3.5 Gulden 2 Thaler – large Crown-size coin; a scarce type. Nicely toned specimen with light-gray patina; XF condition.
Bavarian Kingdom; Maximilian II era large silver 1855 3-1/2 Gulden / 2 Thaler (AKS# 146, Jaeg 5, Bay# 85, KM# 837, Wittelsbach# 2872, Kahnt DS# 119, Thun# 91, Dav GT III# 601). Large Crown-size coin: about 40.2 mm in diameter; about 37.12 grams, 3.4 mm thick; inscription on the rim. Not cleaned with original light-gray patina; small scratches on the neck and one small planchet defect at 8 o’clock on obverse are noted for accuracy.
