German States Bavaria 1855 silver 3.5 Gulden 2 Thaler – large Crown-size coin; a scarce type. Nicely toned specimen with light-gray patina; XF condition.
Bavarian Kingdom; Maximilian II era large silver 1855 3-1/2 Gulden / 2 Thaler (KM 837). Large Crown-size coin: about 41.4 mm in diameter; weights 37.12 grams, an inscription on the rim. Seems to be an old cleaning with a nice light-gray patina that developed since, hence the XF condition (the coin looks more line About Uncirculated, if you ask me). There is a small mint error on the obverse at 8 o’clock – small delamination near the rim; no other detractions.
