Vintage GERBER LEGENDARY BLADES Mark II fighting dagger made in in Portland, Oregon, USA just as the Vietnam War has finally come to an end. This fighter is used but it is in better than average condition for the type. The blade has been re-sharpened, the edge is razor-sharp still; the tip is intact; all serrations are intact with no broken “teeth”. The dagger is about 11-15/16″ / 30.4 cm overall; the blade is about 6-7/8” / 17.5 cm. Serial number 044690 is sharply struck on one side of ricasso (1976 production year); Gerber’s sword logo is on the other. Gray Armorhide finish handle is in great shape; some minor loss of finish on the ridges is noted for accuracy. The original “pointed-tip” brown leather sheath is used but it’s in 100% serviceable condition still. The leather is soft and supple, the keeper and tie tie-down point tip are intact – this type is rare this nice. Gerber has always made solid, high-quality MK1-Mk2 daggers back in the days; with proper care this old timer will last you another 60 years 😉 This 1970th Gerber Mark 2 Survival dagger type is getting harder and harder to find these days; don’t miss your chance to add it to your collection!

This original Gerber Mark 2 Survival dagger is in great overall condition. Not cleaned or tampered with in any way, 100% original “as is” condition. I have more Vietnam War era and WW2 era knives and bayonets, as well as several scarce WW1 and WW2 American and European fighting daggers, bayonets and trench knives available for sale – please take a look in the Militaria section.
