Vintage EK COMMANDO KNIFE COMPANY Aussie Bowie WD10 model full-tang construction fighting knife; made in Effingham, IL, circa 1993-1999 (BlackJack Knives era). True to the original John Ek designs, this is a very simple yet very practical knife; it will get the job done.
This is a modern-day version of the famous WW2 era “Aussie” fighting knife manufactured in Australia during the war. This Aussie Fighter is about 10-3/4″ / 27.3 cm overall, the satin-polish blade is about 5-3/4″ / 14.6 cm. The blade is excellent; the original factory edge is razor-sharp (including the “false” upper edge); the tip is intact. Hardwood handle scales with 3 large brass rivets and a steel guard; wood grips are excellent with no chips or contact marks. The knife is in unused “as made” condition; it comes in the original retail box and with original brown leather scabbard. The scabbard is also unused; the leather is soft and supple; the keeper is intact.
This vintage Ek Commando Aussie Bowie WD10 fighting knife has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way, it’s in 100% original “as is” condition; these are the actual photos. I have a few more vintage Ek blades (inducing one original WW2 era Ek Model 1 fighting knife), as well as American WW2 era combat knives, bayonets, and scarce WW1 / WW2 fighting daggers/trench knives from other countries available for sale – please take a look in the store’s Militaria section.
