Cold War era Camillus Jet Pilot Knife made in the late 1980th, correct original all-leather scabbard with Norton Pike honing stone; UNUSED.

Original Cold War era US Air Force Jet Pilot Survival Knife and correct all-leather sheath with NORTON PIKE honing stone in scarce unused condition. The knife was manufactured in the late 1980th by legendary Camillus Cutlery Company in upstate New York. Camillus was of the oldest knife manufacturers in continues operation for the US military. More information about the legendary American Jet Pilot Knives – aka the “aircrew survival knife” could be found on this dedicated Wikipedia page. Camillus’ contract with the USAF has ran out in 1985, hence no date-stamp on the pommel. After 1985 Camillus  continued to supply these survival knives to the US government through other procurement channels.

Stacked leather washers handle with iron guard and pommel; all parts are tight with no play. The knife is about 9-1/2″ / 24.2 cm overall; parkerized blade is about 5″ /12.7 cm. The edge has not been re-sharpened; the tip is intact. Original all-leather sheath with the tie-down tip and NORTON PIKE honing stone in the pocket (the stone is broken at about 1/3 – see photos). The leather is soft and supple; all stitching and rivets are intact; the sheath is in excellent overall condition.  This excellent quality US military-issue Cold War era Camillus Jet Pilot Knife is in 100% serviceable condition still.

This attractive Cold War era Camillus Jet Pilot Knife with original leather scabbard and Norton pike stone has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way, it’s in 100% original “as is” condition; these are the actual photos. I have a few more Vietnam War era knives and bayonets, as well as some American, British, Commonwealth, and German WW2 era combat knives and bayonets and several scarce WW1 and WW2 fighting daggers / trench knives – please take a look in the Militaria section.
