Description

Cold War 1984 Camillus Jet Pilot Knife, correct original scabbard with Norton Pike honing stone. Great set in scarce UNUSED condition.

Original Cold War era 5-inch blade Jet Pilot Knife with original scabbard & honing stone included; manufactured in September 1984 by legendary Camillus Cutlery Company in upstate New York: the pommel is stamped CAMILLUS  / N.Y. / 9-1984. More information about the legendary American Jet Pilot Knives – aka the “aircrew survival knife” could be found on this dedicated Wikipedia page.

The knife is about 9-1/2″ / 24.2 cm overall; parkerized blade is about 5″ /12.7 cm. Original factory edge has not been re-sharpened; the tip is intact. The saw teeth on the blade’s spine are intact as well. Stacked leather washers handle with iron guard and hammer-like pommel; the handle is solid; all parts are tight with no play. Original-issue leather scabbard with a metal-reinforced tip and a honing stone in the pocket; the scabbard is unused as well; it is date-stamped March 1985. Some minor green oxidation around brass rivets is noted for accuracy (cleanable). Overall, this scabbard is in excellent condition, considering the age. The leather is soft and supple still; all original stitching and rivets are intact, original keeper is intact and tight. The front pocket contains original-issue honing stone made by Norton Pike; the stone is unused. This great-looking Cold War 1984 Camillus Jet Pilot Knife will make an excellent addition to any collection of military blades.

This attractive Cold War 1984 Camillus Jet Pilot Knife with original leather scabbard and Norton pike stone has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way, it’s in 100% original “as is” condition; these are the actual photos.
