Description
Wenoka Japan 1993 Scuba Diving History knife, limited edition 1943-1993 50 years of Scuba Diving commemorative issue; rare unused in original retail box.
Wenoka Cutlery was the famous seller and manufacturer of quality diving equipment; the company was based in West Palm Beach, Florida. Back in the 1980th – early 1990th, Wenoka put out 6 limited edition commemorative dive knives at the rate of one per year. All knives were extremely well made and depicted many historical phases of diving, all were serialized. Overall, Wenoka introduced The UDT Navy Frog Men 1944/1984 , The Man In the Sea Knife, the Hardhat Diver Knife, The Birth of Sport Diving 1942, the Sea Lab 1965/1985 , and 1943-1993 50 years of Scuba Diving commemorative.
This big boy is about 12-1/4″ / 31 cm overall, the mirror-polish blade is about 7-1/4″ / 18.4 cm. The blade is excellent; the original factory edges are razor-sharp; the tip is intact. One side is finely etched in gold; serial number 560 is sharply struck on riocasso. Lathe-turned laminated hardwood handle with cast bronze fittings and stainless ring in the middle. The handle is excellent with no chips or contact marks; all parts are tight with no play. The knife is in unused “as made” condition; it comes in the original cardboard blade protector and original retail cardboard box. These limited edition “50 years of Scuba Diving” commemorative knives were sold without a scabbard.
This vintage Wenoka Japan 1993 Scuba Diving History knife has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way, it’s in 100% original “as is” condition; these are the actual photos.
