Original Soviet Union era Order of the Red Star serial number 3,063,743 (SN is hand-engraved on the back) – awarded in 1952, judging by the serial range. Soviet Union did not produce these orders in mass at some badge factory. The back of the order is marked МОНЕТНЫЙ ДВОР (the mint) – these were actually struck at the government mint in Moscow, thus the extra attention to details and excellent overall quality, even during the war years.
This is a “small-size” war-time issue order – it’s about 45.5 mm in diameter; about 30 grams without the back screw. The total weight with the screw is about 42.5 grams. Bright red enamel with no damage; the center medallion with the riflemen is excellent with practically no signs of wear – these early 1950th orders are rare this nice. The back screw is intact with no damage; large round lug nut is nice and tight. This USSR Korean War era silver Red Star Order has not been cleaned, polished, or tempered with in any way; these are the actual photos. This original Soviet order of Red Star is guaranteed original or your money back. Don’t miss your chance to add it to your collection!
