Excellent quality early SOG Desert Dagger model fighting knife (SOG designation model number S25). Wickedly sharp dual-edge 5″ blade, non-slip black Kraton handle and original early-manufacture black nylon fabric sheath. This older nylon sheath is the most notable feature of the early SOG production of the Desert Daggers which were produced from 1991 to 1999. Made in Seki, Japan; this scarce dagger is in rare unused condition. Interestingly, SOG’s Desert Dagger was the “Bride’s” (aka Black Mamba) preferred side blade in the Kill Bill action films 😉
Desert Dagger was initiated from requests from military personnel. It was designed to provide an expanded capability over conventional double-edged knives. This diversified knife combines 3 different edge types that enhance cutting power and is matched to a solid steel pommel for “on the spot” hammering in the field. In addition, the Desert Dagger “stands proud” with a custom feature rarely found on knives under $250 – the soldered cross guard construction! The Desert Dagger enlists the SOG famous aggressive Kraton grips for the ultimate command and control in the field.
This is an excellent quality dagger – the knife is about 9-3/4” / 24.7 cm overall; the blade is about 5″ / 12.7 cm. Non-slip Kraton handle with twin thumb notches provides a secure and very comfortable grip; the handguard is satin-polished stainless steel; all parts are tight with no play. Original factory edge is razor-sharp; the tip is intact. Original early-production black nylon sheath with a nylon tie-down cord is also unused. This early Seki-made SOG Seki Japan S25 Desert Dagger could be a handy back-up for that “Plan B” scenario, or just a great addition to your collection of vintage SOG fighters. This SOG Seki Japan S25 Desert Dagger boot knife is in excellent overall condition; you will not be disappointed!
