VERY hard to find circa 1950th-early 1960th Puma 959 Universalladgmesser folding hunter in rare unused condition. This rare Universalladgmesser specimen is in excellent overall condition – factory edges are razor-sharp, tips are intact; the bone saw is excellent and will cut through even the toughest materials. The knife is about 4-1/2″ / 11.5 cm closed; the main blade is about 3-1/4″ / 8.2 cm; a few light hairlines on the main blade are noted for accuracy. The main blade is finely etched with Puma logos and legends on both sides; other blades are marked on their tangs. The handle is a beautifully textured genuine sambar stag secured with brass pins; one side has .800 fitness silver engravable inlay. No cracks or chips on the stag; all parts are tight with no play. Original leather pocket sheath with a built-on “nail pull” for easy blade opening is in great overall condition as well; the leather is soft and supple.
