Hard to find original Polish WW2 era 3rd Podhale Rifle Regiment (3rd Mountain Troops) badge. Pre-WW2 3rd Podhale Rifle Regiment was part of the Polish 21st Mountain Infantry Division. Made by the well-known Adam Nagalski workshop in Warsaw; enameled bronze officer’s type badge; screw back multi-piece construction with original round “screw nut” included – rare this nice and complete. The badge is about 41.7 mm wide by 42 mm high; total weight with the screw is about 36.7 grams. Not cleaned with very attractive original patina throughout, all parts are tight with no play; a few tiny enamel chips on the leaves are noted for accuracy. Excellent overall condition, considering the age; this type is hard-to-find in any condition nowadays.
