Russia 1878 medal Russo-Turkish War light bronze type, Alexander II era. Rare original with new replacement ribbon and brass suspension; excellent overall condition, considering the age.
Original 1878 Russian light-bronze medal for the participation in the 1877-1878 campaign against the Ottoman Empire. As it is often the case with these older medals, the original suspension did not survive; this specimen comes with the replacement ribbon and what looks like a hand-made exact replica of the original brass chest suspension pin. Light bronze medals were awarded to all Russian military, medical, and religious clergy personnel who participated in combat operations during the war. About 26 mm in diameter; not cleaned with original patina; excellent overall condition with no typical nick or rim dings – this type is scarce this nice.
This original Russia 1878 medal Russo-Turkish War light bronze type is guaranteed to be genuine or your money back.
