Ka-Bar Ek Commando EK13 fighting knife, original leather sheath; presentation issue. Excellent quality US-made fighter in UNUSED condition.

Very well-made KA-BAR COMPANY presentation grade model EK13 full-tang construction fighting knife made in Olean, NY. This is a modern-day version of the famous WW2 era “Ek Commando ” fighting knife made by John Ek during the war. This exact fighting knife type is illustrated on page 119 of the KNIVES OF THE UNITED STATES MILITARY WORLD WAR II book by Michael W Silvey – a well-established expert and the author of a number of books on the subject of the US military edged weapons (see book’s scans attached). True to the original John Ek designs, this is a very simple yet very practical knife; it will get the job done. I have two (2) identical model EK13 fighting knives; listing price is for one (1) knife, of course.

This fighter is about 12-5/8″ / 32 cm overall, mirror-polished blade is about 6-1/2″ / 16.5 cm. The blade is in excellent condition; the original factory edge is razor-sharp (including the “false” upper edge); the tip is intact. Hardwood handle scales with 3 large copper rivets and S-guard; wood grips are excellent with no chips or contact marks. The knife is in unused “as made” condition; it comes with original brown leather scabbard. The scabbard is also unused; the leather is soft and supple; the keeper is intact. The current MSR of Ka-Bar Ek Commando EK13 fighting knife is $338 (plus tax and S&H, of course).

This Ka-Bar Ek Commando EK13 fighting knife has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way, it’s in 100% original “as is” condition; these are the actual photos. I have several vintage European knives available for sale – please check out our Collectable Blades section for similar listings.
