British New Guinea 1935 Sixpence – scarce 1-year type, rare UNCIRCULATED condition. Part of the life-long numismatic collection assembled many years ago.
British colonial coinage for New Guinea; King George VI era; very attractive Sixpence in rare Uncirculated condition with some original mint luster remaining. About 19.3 mm in diameter; reeded edge, copper-nickel alloy. A unique feature of the colonial New Guinea coins is the center hole. This colonial coinage was purposely struck with a hole in the center so the natives could carry the coins on strings. The coin is in great overall condition with great eye appeal. No rim nicks or dings; these are the actual photos. This original British New Guinea 1935 Sixpence is not a later reproduction or a copy; it is guaranteed to be 100% authentic or your money back.
