Brazil 1956 Sanpex silver ingot, 4th Tourism Congress promotional souvenir bar. Rare poured type, weigh is 2.69 oz/76.3 gm, .500 fitness. Serial # 40, one of just about 100 made.
Rare old “poured silver” bar type – this issue is VERY hard to find, especially in the unaltered original condition. This attractive specimen is about 3-1/8″ / 79.3 cm long, 1-1/64″ / 25.8 mm wide at the widest point and about 15/64″ / 6 mm thick. The total weight is about 2.69 oz/76.3 grams; .500 silver fitness. Serial number 40; this is a great looking silver bar; the pour is nice and even without blemishes or depressions. The ingot is in excellent overall condition with attractive light-gray patina throughout. The surface has a nice smooth “as made” texture with no typical dings or edge nicks.
Not a later reproduction or a copy – this rare Brazil 1956 Sanpex silver ingot is guaranteed to be genuine or your money back. Not cleaned or tampered with; these are the actual photos.
