Description
Original WW2 era American fighting knife made from whatever materials were available at hand . This interesting fighting dagger is about 12-5/8″ / 32 cm overall; the blade is about 7-7/8″ / 20 cm; the blade is very sharp still; the tip is intact. Stacked Plexiglas washers with red and black Bakelite spacers handle; the pommel is a chunk of solid aluminum; all parts are nice and tight with no play. Original leather scabbard was hand-cut from thick leather pieces (probably a machine belt). All original original stitching is intact; the leather is a bit dry with a couple of “jungle rot” spots from contact with sea water.
This interesting American WW2 theater-made fighting knife has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way; it is in 100% original “as is” condition; these are the actual photos. I have more WW2 American fighting knives, as well as several scarce WW1 and WW2 fighting daggers, bayonets and trench knives available for sale – please take a look in our Militaria section.
