British UK Victorian police Billy Club made by Hiatt’s & Co. Ltd. Antique original Victorian era truncheon with Queen Victoria period proof mark; excellent overall condition, considering the age.
Original Victorian period manufacture police truncheon manufactured circa 1890-1900 by Hiatt’s & Co. Ltd. The truncheon is appropriately stamped with the maker’s name on the butt of the handle and on the leather hand strap. The body is prof-marked with the Victorian era “crown/VR” (Victoria Regina) acceptance proof mark as well. This is a well-preserved specimen in excellent overall condition; no chips or cracks on the wood; original leather strap is good, but it is literally hanging by a trad – see photos. Slightly used with original finish; this “Billy club” is about 15-1/2″ / 39.5 cm overall. This original UK Victorian police Billy Club has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way, it is in 100% original “as is” condition. These are the actual photos.
