Very rare coinage of the short-lived Tuvan People’s Republic which existed as an independent country from 1921 to 1944 (total pre-WW2 population was about 90,000). This 1-year type coinage consisted of 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15, and 20-Kopeks coins; the entire issue was dated 1934. The number of coins struck is unknown but it’s probably in the low tenth of thousands for such a small population.
This Tannu Tuva 1934 2 Kopeks specimen was struck in aluminum-bronze; the coin is about 18.9 mm in diameter, weights 3.23 grams; reeded edge; XF condition with original patina throughout. This type is rare in any shape or form nowadays as most of these coins were destroyed after the Soviets took over the country in 1944. Only a small fraction of the original relatively small mintage survived to this day.
Not cleaned; these are the actual photos. Not a later reproduction or a copy; this rare Tannu Tuva 1934 2 Kopeks is guaranteed to be 100% authentic or your money back.
