Excellent quality early SOG Recon Government fighting knife – rare blued blade type (SOG designation model number S21). Gun-blued SK-5 carbon steel alloy blade hardened to 57-58 Rc, non-slip black Kraton handle and original early-manufacture black Condura nylon sheath. This older Condura nylon sheath is the most notable feature of the early SOG production of S21 Recon Government which were produced from 1990 to 1999. Made in Seki, Japan; this scarce SOG fighter model is in rare unused condition.
This is an excellent quality dagger – the knife is about 11-1/8” / 28.2 cm overall; blued blade is about 6-1/8″ / 15.5 cm. Non-slip Kraton handle with twin thumb notches provides a secure grip for the ultimate command and control in the field. The handguard and pommel are blued as well; all parts are tight with no play. Original factory edge is razor-sharp; the tip is intact; a few tiny rust spots on the edge are noted for accuracy. Original early-production black Condura nylon sheath with a nylon tie-down cord is also unused. This early Seki-made SOG Seki Japan S21 Recon Government fighting knife could be a handy back-up for that “Plan B” scenario, or just a great addition to your collection of vintage SOG fighters.
