Rare Pre-WW1 circa 1908-1914 Nikolaev’s Naval Academy Imperial Navy department graduation badge (Знак об окончании Военно-Морского отдела Николаевской Морской Академии). VERY hard to find in any shape or form nowadays.
Circa 1908-1914 Nicholaevsky Imperial Russian Naval Academy officer’s “lapel type” graduation badge (Знак об окончании Военно-морского отдела Николаевской Морской Академии; фрачник – маленький; серебро позолоченное). Fine quality multi-piece construction in gold-plated silver. The original “double-ear” silver lugnut is included. About 29.1 mm by 23 mm diameter medal; the total weight is about 8.6 grams. The larger cast-silver part of the badge is marked with AB hallmark and 84/”kokoshnik” silver fitness marks; the round screw-on lugnut is hallmarked the post-1908 round “small items” kokoshnik hallmark. No typical dings, scratches, or bent/damaged edges; excellent condition overall -see photos.
