VERY hard to find WW1 era Polish “1916 Odznaka PRAWYM RYCERZOM ROKITNA” – silver commemorative badge struck in 1916 to commemorate the 2nd Polish Uhlans’ brave and bloody attack on the Imperial Russian Army positions around Rokitna village on June 13, 1915. Out of the wave of 70 mounted Uhlans attacking the Russian positions 63 became casualties. The badge is struck in coin silver; original pin is present and intact; the badge is tight with no loose parts. The badge is about 26.4 mm wide and 36 mm high and weights 3.8 grams. Excellent overall condition with very attractive light-gray with goldish overtones patina throughout, a nice find!
