Rare silver 1831 10 Groszy struck at the Warsaw mint during 1831 Polish revolt against the Russian occupation of Poland. A circulated specimen but this type is hard-to-find in any condition nowadays in any condition. Just a small fraction of the 1831 revolutionary coinage survived as most of these coins were take out of circulation and melted-down once the uprising was crushed by the numerically-superior Russian Imperial Army. Original dark-gray patina; no typical adjustment marks, rim nicks, dings, or heavy scratches. About 19.2 mm in diameter, about 2.92 grams; plain rim.
