Description
James Reeves custom fighting knife, 7-inch blade, brown micarta handle, original hand-made leather sheath. Rare vintage US-made “Randall style” fighter in excellent overall condition.
Vintage hand-made Fighting Bowie made in the early 1990th by a talented knifemaker James Gary Reeves of Gardendale, Alabama. I believe James Reeves has retired and no longer makes knives.
This is an excellent quality “Randall style” fighter in excellent overall condition. I’m listing it as “used” due to a few minor hairlines and light scuff marks on the pommel. The overall quality and balance are excellent; the knife is about 11-3/4″ / 30 cm overall; satin-polished magnetic alloy steel blade is about 7″ / 17.8 cm; ricasso is engraved J.G. REEVES / GARDENDALE AL. The blade is razor-sharp; the tip is intact. Moisture-proof brown micarta handle with an extra-wide polished steel guard and aluminum pommel. This handle has an excellent balance and fit; all parts are tight with no play.
The knife comes with original custom-made brown leather sheath. The stitching and keeper are intact; the leather is soft and supple. This is an excellent quality US-made vintage James Reeves custom fighting knife in great condition; you will not be disappointed. All James Reeves customs are hard-to-find nowadays; don’t miss your chance to add this rare James Reeves custom fighting knife to your collection!
