First Golf War M10 fighting knife, original scabbard, dated 01/1991. Assembled by a private TX manufacturer using Canadian-made parts. Scarce type in rare UNUSED condition. FREE SHIPPING WITHIN THE U.S. FOR THIS ITEM.

This “M10 Fighting Knife” was a “private-purchase” type fighter made during the First Golf War by a Texas-based firm using parts manufactured in Canada. Scarce type in rare unused condition, still in the original factory clear plastic packaging with the tag included. The company was trying to capitalize on servicemen buyers going to the Middle East theater. Operation Desert Storm had lasted just a few days; the short-term excitement did not materialize into a commercial success, despite the knife’s excellent overall quality. This exact type is illustrated on page 341 of THE MILITARY KNIFE & BAYONET book by Homer M. Brett – a well-established expert an author of many books on the subject of US military edged weapons (see the book’s page scan attached).

This fighting knife was made in January 1991; it is unused with original scabbard and packaging; this type is hard-to-find this nice. Original factory edge is razor-sharp;  the tip is intact; all-original “desert tan” blade finish is intact. The handle is excellent; all parts are tight with no play. The knife is about 11-3/8″ / 29 cm overall; the blade is about 6-3/4″ / 17 cm.
