Vintage 1996 BUCK KNIVES large model 103 SKINNER hunting knife with the blade personally engraved in 2000 by late Chuck Buck. The knife comes with original brown leather sheath. The knife is about 10-1/2″ / 26.7 cm overall; the blade is about 6″ / 15.3 cm. The blade has a distinct turned-down point which lets it slit the hide without snagging the meat. The blade has been re-sharpened; the edge is razor-sharp still; the tip is intact. Moisture-resistant rosewood laminate handle with 2 brown micarta spacers; simple 3-line logo on ricasso. Solid polished brass pommel and guard; all parts are tight with no play. No contact marks or dings on the pommel, blade’s edge or spine – scarce this nice. Original BUCK 103 brown leather sheath is in excellent serviceable condition; all stitching and the keeper are intact; the leather is soft and supple.
This Buck model 103 Skinner knife has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way, it’s in 100% original “as is” condition; these are the actual photos. I have a few more modern US-made knives, as well as several vintage WW2 era American blades (inducing an original WW2 era Rudy Ruana fighting knife), as well as Allied WW2 era combat knives, bayonets, and scarce WW1 / WW2 fighting daggers/trench knives from other countries available for sale – please take a look in the store’s Militaria section.
