Description
Austria 1859A silver Florin Proof strike, Vienna mint. Rare type with attractive golden-gray patina; VERY hard to find this nice.
Rare proof strike; Vienna mint issue. About 29 mm in diameter, 12.34 grams, an inscription on the rim. The coin is still housed in its original circa 1970th coin flip, so the glare/reflection gets in the way; the coin actually looks much better “in person”. Not wiped, cleaned, or otherwise messed around with; these are the actual photos.
This rare Austria 1859A silver Florin Proof is not a later reproduction or a copy; it is guaranteed to be 100% authentic or your money back. This coin was part of the life-long numismatic collection assembled an American German-born doctor; please take a look at our recent listings for more Austrian, Bavarian, Prussian, and other German States coins and medals.
