Description
Original WW2 era American fighting knife made from whatever materials were available at hand. The overall quality is actually pretty high; the overall fit and finish are great. The double-guard with round ends is finely-finished from a thick piece of steel; the blade has been expertly fitted through the guard – not a small feat in the rudimentary field conditions.
This interesting fighting dagger is about 12-1/2″ / 31.8 cm overall; the blade is about 7-3/4″ / 19.7 cm; the blade is very sharp still; the tip is somewhat rounded. Stacked leather washers and solid aluminum pommel handle; all parts are nice and tight with no play. Original leather scabbard was hand-cut from a thick chunk of leather (probably a machine belt). All original rivets are intact; the leather is soft and supple still.
This interesting American WW2 theater fighting knife has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way; it is in 100% original “as is” condition; these are the actual photos.
