WW2 US Navy Signal Pistol Mark 5 – 100% original WW-II hammerless fare gun made by R.F. Sedgley Inc. in 1943. Slightly used condition with only a few minor scoff marks; matching serial numbers; mechanically excellent – rare this nice.
Original WW2 era United States Navy SIGNAL PISTOL MARK 5 manufactured in 1943 by R.F. Sedgley Inc. in Philadelphia. The gun is only slightly used; it’s in excellent overall condition and mechanically excellent. Metal parts have just a few minor scoff marks; no damage to the plastic body – rare this nice. This signal pistol is about 11-1/8” / 30.8 cm overall; the barrel is about 6″ / 15.2 cm. All serial numbers are matching (SN 242692-A-1). A thin twine rope with a few sailor’s knots is still attached to the lanyard ring.
Not cleaned or tempered with; scarce in such authentic condition – a lot of these flare guns have been polished or cleaned to a semi-white condition. This WW2 US Navy Signal Pistol Mark 5 flare gun is not a “firearm” under US law and needs no FFL to transfer or own; this WW-2 era flare gun is obsolete; its spare parts and flares are no longer made.
