WW2 American theater knuckle dagger fighting knife, huge 9-/12″ blade; original leather scabbard included. Made from a singe piece of steel; VERY cool looking and certainly one of a kind hand-made Knuckle Fighter – a great find!
A fearsome-looking and certainly 0ne of a kind WW-2 era theater-made fighting knife with the handle-integrated “knuckle-duster”. the dagger is made from a single chunk of steel and comes with the original custom-made leather scabbard. A somewhat crude design (the grip isn’t very comfortable) but the knife surely makes up for it with it’s huge blade and overall fearsome looks. Strong dual-edge blade is well sharpened on both sides; the steel seems to be some tool-grade alloy machine component that was turned into a fighting knife. Hardwood handle scales with integrated guard and iron pins; the handle is tight with no loose parts. A similar type is illustrated on page 62 of MILITARY THEATER KNIVES OF WW II book by Bill and Debbie Wright – a couple of well-established experts on the subject of the US military “theater-made” weapons (see book’s page scan attached).
This impressive Fighter is about 16-1/4” / 38.7 cm overall; the blade is about 9-1/2” / 24 cm long; it is pretty sharp still, the tip is intact. The dagger comes with its original hand-made leather scabbard. The leather is in very good shape, considering the age; the tip is a bit frail. An excellent WW2 era American “theater” fighting knife with a lot of character and in great overall condition, you will not be disappointed! This rare WW2 American theater knuckle dagger fighting knife has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way, 100% original condition; these are the actual photos.
