WW2 American theater fighting knife, quality steel blade; original 1943-dated leather scabbard included. Excellent overall condition, considering the age.

Original WW2 era (and certainly one of a kind) “theater-made fighting knife and matching original handmade scabbard. The well-defined trailing point blade is tool-grade carbon steel, the blade has been expertly sharpened to a razor-sharp edge; the tip is intact. The blade has a narrow slim profile optimized for a close-quarters fight. The quality of work is excellent; all parts have a perfect fit; this knife was definitely made by a very skilled knifemaker.

This W2 American theater fighting knife is about 10-1/4″ / 26 cm overall; the blade is about 6-1/4″ / 15.9 cm long. The handle is a solid chunk of aluminum with a bronze S-guard; all parts are tight with no play. The blade is completely unmarked. Original hand-made leather scabbard is signed MADE 8-1943. All stitching is intact; the leather is a bit dry but in very good condition overall, considering the age. The front panel has an interesting diamond-shaped brass pin that looks like som ROTC insignia. Or it could be a trophy of some sort, hard to tell at this point. Overall, this interesting hand-made WW2 American theater fighting knife and its original scabbard are in 100% serviceable condition still, even 80 plus years later.
