Description

WW2 American theater fighting knife, MK2 Ka-Bar blade, unusual stag handle, original handmade leather scabbard; great overall condition, considering the age. Very interesting and certainly one-of-a-kind fighter.

Very interesting and certainly one of a kind WW2 era “theater” fighting knife. The blade and the handguard came off a re-purposed Mark 2 fighting knife originally manufactured by Ka-Bar (Union Cutlery in Olean, NY); the handle is a nicely polished piece of a curved deer stag crowned by a shape-matching aluminum pommel. The knife is of the excellent overall quality; the handle provides a very comfortable grip. The scabbard is also very well-made; it holds the blade well matches the knife perfectly.

The blade is very sharp still; the tip is intact. The handle is solid; the pommel is tight; the guard has a bit of a play. The knife is about 12-5/8” / 32 cm overall; the blade is about 7” / 17.8 cm long. The scabbard is in excellent shape, considering the age; the leather is soft and supple, all original stitching is intact. An interesting WW2 era “theater knife” with a lot of character; it will be a great addition to any collection!

This WW2 American theater fighting knife has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way; it is in 100% original “as is” condition; these are the actual photos. We have more WW2 American fighting knives, as well as several scarce WW1 and WW2 fighting daggers, bayonets and trench knives available for sale – please take a look in our Militaria section.
