Vintage European silver fencing sword pin; about 2-3/4″ long; circa 1900th. Probably of French manufacture; excellent overall quality.
Very interesting European artisan silversmith-made vintage lapel pin in the form of a fencing sword. The overall style and the eagle on the hilt point to the French manufacture. Typically, this type would be worn by someone proficient in ancient art of the sword – a kind of “Bring it, bro!” display back in the days 😉 This vintage European silver fencing sword pin is about 2-3/4″ / 70 mm long; weights about 2.9 grams. Very attractive hand-made silver piece with original dark-gray patina throughout. The pin is completely unmarked but the scratched tip shows silver all the way through – this is not a plated piece.
