Vietnam War era Camillus MK2 fighting knife, correct original dark-brown all-leather scabbard included; great overall condition, considering the age.

Classic US military MK2 fighting knife manufactured by Camillus Cutlery in Camillus, NY in scarce unused condition; comes with the original all-leather scabbard. Mark 2 is the classic American fighting knife; this type was used in combat in all theaters of WW2 and in virtually every war thereafter. Most of these handy fighters were used as intended; this MK2 is better than average condition for the type.

This MK2 is about 12-1/8″ / 30.8 cm overall; the blade is about 7″ / 17.8 cm. Original factory edge is very sharp still; the tip is intact; no ding marks/nicks on the spine or the edge; the tip is intact. Ricasso is stamped U.S. / CAMILLUS N.Y. on one side; the guard is unmarked, as it should be.  Stacked leather washers handle with a steel guard and heavy-duty pommel; all parts are tight with no play. Round hammer-like pommel is in great shape with no nicks or ding marks. Original dark-brown leather scabbard is unmarked as intended; all original stitching and rivets are intact; the leather is still soft and supple still. This is a solid example of the Vietnam War Camillus MK2 fighting knife; it’s in great overall condition, considering the age; this type is getting harder to find in better grades.
