Classic US military MK2 fighting knife manufactured by Camillus Cutlery in Camillus, New York; comes with original correct dark-brown leather scabbard. MK2 is the classic American fighting knife; this type was used in combat in all theaters of WW2 and in virtually every war thereafter. Looks like this MK2 was used as intended – typical condition with some pitting on the blade from the exposure to the elements; the edge has been re-sharpened.
This MK2 is about 12-1/8″ / 30.8 cm overall; the blade is about 7″ / 17.8 cm. The edge is razor-sharp; the tip is intact. Ricasso is sharply stamped U.S. / CAMILLUS N.Y. on one side; the guard is unmarked. Stacked leather washers handle; all washers are tight, the guard and pommel are also tight with no play. Round steel hammer-like pommel is in great shape with no nicks or ding marks. Original all-leather scabbard is unmarked; all original stitching and rivets are intact; the leather is still soft and supple. Solid Vietnam War era MK2 fighting knife in great overall condition, considering the age.
This attractive Vietnam War Camillus MK2 fighting knife has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way, 100% original condition; these are the actual photos.
