A superb-quality exotic Hunting Bowie with the finely-carved tusk handle; the “screaming eagle” carving is simply fantastic in quality and design; the underside is autographed by the master carver quite simply: Alward. The eagle’s eyes are made of polished natural Tiger’s Eye stone; the end is finished with what looks like a polished fossil bone and red plastic spacers. Elegant handguard is finely-cut solid bronze with attractive honey-brown patina. This Bowie is approximately 12-3/4” / 32.4 cm overall with the 8-1/8” / 20.5 cm long, 7 mm thick satin-polished blade; there is no sheath. The blade is etched on one side with the maker’s oval logo: Tom Morlan / TM / Hemet, Calif. and Morlan’s individual serial 655 on ricasso. This Tom Morlan custom Bowie carved boar tusk eagle head handle knife was never carried or used and it is RAZOR sharp; the tip is intact.
One of a kind custom Bowie by a great American knife maker; it will make an excellent addition to any collection.
