Vintage SMITH & WESSON model #6060 Folding Hunter designed for S&W by the famous Knifemakers Guild founding member late Walter “Blackie” Collins. This is the 1st generation Hunter; proudly made circa 1975 in the US – a superb full-size folder of excellent overall quality; still in the original retail box with leather sheath and papers included. Serial-numbered on the interior brass liner (this knife’s SN is 45296). About 8″ / 20.3 cm overall opened; mirror-polished forged 440 stainless steel blade is about 3-1/2″ / 9 cm. Moisture-resistant Wessonwood handle scales with round S&W medallion inlay on one side. Bolsters and pins are polished nickel-silver; all parts are tight with zero play. The knife comes with an original S&W B109W brown leather belt sheath. One must be careful with the back snap – it will only open if it pulled “on the dot” – never pull it hard without looking. This is an excellent quality US military-issue knife and it is still in 100% serviceable condition; don’t miss your chance to add it to your collection!
This attractive SMITH WESSON 6060 Folding Hunter in rare unused condition has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way, 100% original “as is” condition. These are the actual photos, spent brass is not included with the lot 😉 I have a few more American, British, Commonwealth, and German combat knives and bayonets, as well as several scarce WW1 and WW2 fighting daggers and trench knives from other countries available for sale – please take a look in our Militaria section.
