Large Crown-size “400 years since the Discovery of India” 1898 silver 1000 Reis commemorative issue; one-year type. A great-looking specimen in AU condition with attractive original light-gray and golden overtones patina. The coin is about 37 mm in diameter, about 25 grams. No rim nicks or dings; a few typical minor bag marks are noted for accuracy.
