Mexico – 1st Republic large 1845 silver 8 Reales struck at the Zacatecas mint. A great-looking specimen in scarce About Uncirculated with very attractive light-gray patina with a shade of golden undertones. About 39.9 mm in diameter, weights about 27 gm. A small dark spot at 4 o’clock on reverse is an imperfection in the silver – NOT a scratch. Take a look at a close-up – looks like some kind of impurity within the silver itself. A few minor rim dings and typical bag marks are noted for accuracy.
