Description

Marbles Ideal knife tigerwood handle, 5″ blade, original “Moose & Goose” leather sheath. Rare 1970th “last-ditch” issue in great overall condition, considering the age.

Rare 1970th “last-issue” MARBLE’S Ideal Hunter in equally rare original last model “hidden hanger” Moose and Goose leather sheath. Slightly used condition; proudly made in the 1970th in Gladstone, Michigan USA. Marble’s Knives company was one of the best US makers of hunting knives, axes and other outdoor gear since 1898. In about 1979 Marble’s had ceased selling knives completely; the “last-ditch” Marble’s knives are VERY hard to find.

The knife is about 9″ / 22.8 cm overall; the blade is about 4-3/4″ / 12 cm long; “roller coaster” 3-line Marble’s / Gladstone / MICH. U.S.A. logo stamped on ricasso. The blade has been lightly re-sharpened; the edge is RAZOR-sharp, the tip is intact. Exotic tigerwood handle with red/black fiber and brass spacers. Bronze double-hilt and aluminum pommel with a “small” lug nut. All handle parts are tight with no play. The knife comes with the original late 1970th classic Marble’s “Moose & Goose” leather sheath in excellent condition. The leather is soft and supple; all original stitching is intact.

This vintage 1970th Marbles Ideal knife tigerwood handle and original “Moose & Goose” sheath are in excellent over condition still.  Don’t miss your chance to add this rare “last-ditch” Marble’s knife to your collection!
