Kershaw Special Agent boot knife dagger made by Ichiro Hattori, Japan. Original “boot clip” brown leather sheath included. Scarce 1970th vintage; long-discontinued model.
Scarce early Kershaw Special Agent boot knife made by Ichiro Hattori in the 1970th in Seki, Japan. Kershaw had a partnership with Kai Japan and back in those days, Ichiro Hattori had produced some of the finest Trooper and Special Agent daggers Kershaw had to offer.
This rare dagger is slightly used, but still in better than average condition for the type. The dual-edge blade is razor-sharp still; the tip is intact. The knife is about 7-5/8″ / 19.3 cm overall; the blade is about 3-5/8″ / 9.2 cm. The handle is solid cast aluminum with polished bronze guard; all parts are tight with zero play. Some paint loss expected from light use is noted for accuracy. The original brown leather sheath is excellent; stainless steel boot clip is nice and tight; it is stamped KERSHAW / LAKE OSWEGO. OR. / 97034 U.S.A.
In my humble opinion, Special Agent was one of the best and most handsome small daggers Ichiro Hattori ever made. It is as handsome as it is practical. All Hattori knives are of absolutely the highest quality; don’t miss your chance to add this vintage Kershaw Special Agent boot knife dagger to your collection!
