Gerber Big Hunter made in the 1970th, Armorhide finish handle, original leather sheath; hard to find discontinued model in rare UNUSED condition.
Rare late 1960th – early 1970th vintage Gerber Legendary Blades model Big Hunter with a tool-grade 5-1/2” drop-point blade, solid metal handle and original Gerber early-type leather sheath in rare UNUSED condition. The Big Hunter model has been long-discontinued; it’s very hard to find in unused condition nowadays. The knife was hand-finished at the Gerber factory in Portland, Oregon, USA.
This beauty is about 11″ / 28.2 cm overall; stainless blade is about 5-1/2” / 14 cm. The blade is razor-sharp; the tip is intact. The handle is cast aluminum with Gerber’s signature non-slip dark-gray Armorhide coating. Original leather sheath is also unused; the leather is soft and supple. This hard-to-find vintage Gerber Big Hunter hunter-skinner knife and original sheath set will be a welcome addition to any collection. Gerber has always made solid, high-quality hunting knives back in the days; with proper care this old timer will last you another 50 years 😉
