Description

Gerber Presidents Collection Mark I and Mark II daggers set, African zebrawood handles; original case, Pete Gerber signed COA and 11/1979 sales receipt included. SN 209/1000, made circa 1979; rare UNUSED condition – scarce this nice.

A scarce GERBER LEGENDARY BLADES Mark I and Mark II daggers President’s Collection set made circa 1979 in Portland, Oregon, USA. This issue was limited to just 1000 serial-numbered sets; this set’s serial is 0209 – engraved on ricasso on each dagger. The set comes with the SN-matching COA hand-signed by Pete Gerber himself and the original hardwood presentation case. Also included is the original sale receipt dated November 1979 – the previous owner has bought these daggers himself in 1979 and kept it in the original case under the lock and key ever since.

Both daggers are unused in the “as made” condition; original factory edges are razor-sharp; the tips are intact. Mirror-polished blades are excellent and stains/rust-free; minor discoloration on Mark II’s bronze pommel is noted for accuracy (cleanable). The handles are exotic West African zebrawood; the fittings are polished bronze. Mark I dagger is about 9-1/8″ / 23 cm overall; the blade is about 5” / 12.7 cm. Mark II dagger is about 12-1/8″ / 31 cm overall; the blade is about 6-3/4” / 17.2 cm. Serial number 0209 is hand-engraved on ricasso. These sets were sold without sheaths.
